On Oct. 8, the KHS varsity volleyball team lost in two sets against Princeton High School, 8-25, 22-25.
The Boilers’ performance improved significantly between the first and second set, but this change was not enough to defeat the Tigers.
The Boilers did not go down without a fight, particularly in the second half. Junior Claire Taylor ended the night with seven digs, and junior Taylor VanWinkle was close behind with six.

The strongest offense came from sophomore Macee Pickering, who made four kills; junior Kendyl DeBlieck, who gave the Boilers five assists; and senior Tejhiana Amos, who made two kills.
Lastly, sophomore Macy Anderson singlehandedly advanced the score with two aces, and DeBlieck added another ace for Kewanee.

The KHS volleyball team will be in action against Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Kewanee High School.
