Spring Cemetery Clean up week:

All grave blankets, artificial flowers, potted flowers and all other plants are requested to be removed from the Galva Cemetery by Sunday, March 29, 2026 if relatives wish to save them.

No more flowers should be placed on the graves until Friday, April 3, 2026.

Bishop Hill Cemetery spring cleanup to be held April 4

Bishop Hill Village Clerk Terri Wigant announced that the village will hold a cemetery spring cleanup on April 4. Anyone wishing to keep items from their loved one’s graves should gather them before the village volunteer cleaning day.

The Village Board would also like to ask for volunteers to help clean off the graves, pick up sticks, rake leaves and trim bushes starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, with a rain date of April 12. Village officials ask that volunteers bring their own rakes and equipment to use that day.
