The KHS Athletic Hall of Fame Committee has announced its Class of 2026 inductees. 

“This year’s class features several outstanding individual athletes, a distinguished coach, valued friends of the program, and a championship team from KHS history,” said a news release from the committee.

The 2026 inductees are:

• Coach: Tim Atwell
• Friends of KHS Athletics: Tim Atwell, Gary Petersen
• Female Athletes: Vivian Guy ’76, Shanique Powe ’88
• Male Athletes: Andre Dunn ’09, David Ralph ’68, Scott Yarde ’72
• Team: 1993–94 Boys Basketball Team

The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, in Petersen Auditorium at Kewanee High School and is open to the public. 

The accompanying banquet is by invitation only, with formal invitations to be mailed in early summer.

The committee is seeking current addresses for Jason Sherbeyn, Marcus Dearing and Brian Johnson (members of the 1993–94 boys basketball team), as well as Andre Dunn. Anyone with information is asked to contact Matt Costenson at cosmoasis2@gmail.com or Mindi Goard at mgoard@ksf229.org.
