Letter to the Editor,
Seems you haven’t had a Letter to the Editor, since last July. I just TRIED to listen to the Video on the new Recycling program. I had my computer volume all the way up, and still couldn’t hear it.
Seems no one checks anything any more to see if it works. They put the information stickers on the containers so only a giant can read them. All they had to do was turn them around. What has happened to common sense? Yea, they raised the land waste stickers again to one dollar fifty. Don’t think i ever knew a Illinois Politician who said NO to a tax. I wish the City Council Members would let me spend their money?
It looks like they are going to let the trees at the old Hospital rot away. They still haven’t gotten all the downed brush in Kewanee, but they worried the Parks. That seems silly. Oh, they will say that’s another Department. Don’t the Parks Department work for the city? Well, I’ll be waiting to see if this makes it into the Kewanee Voice.

Kewanee
Notes from Editor: The City of Kewanee and the Kewanee Park District are separate units of government. The park district is governed by an elected board of commissioners and park employees are hired and paid by the park district.
The last letter to the editor was received in July of this year.
The price of the land waste stickers was raised due to the contracting of LRS Waste Management Services.
