A Kewanee man has been arrested on several charges following an investigation involving two sexual-abuse victims.
The Kewanee Police Department arrested Joseph Hardy, 19, of Kewanee on Tuesday.
The charges involving one of the victims are possession of child sexual abuse material, a Class 3 felony; and solicitation of child sexual abuse material, a Class 1 felony.
For the other victims, Hardy faces three counts of criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony.
In Illinois, a Class 1 felony carries a potential sentence of 4 to 15 years in state prison.
Hardy is scheduled to appear in Henry County Circuit Court Monday.
“Due to the nature of the investigation and to protect the privacy of the victims, no further details will be released,” according to a news release from the police.
“The Kewanee Police Department is asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Joseph Hardy, or anyone with additional information related to this investigation, to contact the Kewanee Police Department at (309) 853-1911,” the release added.
