Black Hawk College recognizes new members of Alpha Beta Gamma, Delta Alpha Pi, Psi Beta and Sigma Kappa Delta honor societies. The four honor societies recently hosted a joint induction ceremony at the Quad-Cities Campus for their respective new members.
Alpha Beta Gamma National Business Honor Society is for students enrolled in business and professional curricula at two-year degree granting institutions. The inductees come from both Black Hawk College campuses.
Alpha Beta Gamma inductees include Moses Bayanga of Moline, Eddie Bermudez of Davenport, Jessica Diaz Lopez of Galva, Ashly Gabriel of Moline, Jennifer Gardner of East Moline, Michelle O’Malley of Milan, Nereyda Xiomara Rivera Zuniga de Herrero of Silvis, Tabitha Soenke of Davenport and Elora Tapia of East Moline. Advisors include Ewelina Bergert, Darcy Jeffries and Jonas Morgan.
Delta Alpha Pi is the academic honor society founded to recognize high-achieving students with disabilities who are attending colleges and universities as undergraduate or graduate students. The inductees are Quad-Cities Campus students. East Campus students were inducted at an earlier ceremony at the East Campus.
Delta Alpha Pi inductees include Nicholas Forgie of Rock Island, Andrew Kerno of Milan, Samuel Mojica of Moline, Mary Petersen of Moline, Mary Pfeiffer of Moline, Lauren Rogan of Milan, Linnea Swanson of Colona and Kaitlyn Walker of Moline. Advisors include Dianne Abels, Krisann Bergo and Jen Holldorf.
Psi Beta is the national honor society for students attending two-year colleges who plan to major or minor in psychology or have an interest in psychology. The inductees are Quad-Cities Campus students.
Psi Beta inductees include Herbert Berko of Moline, Destinie Fox of Rock Island, Jacob Larson of Moline, Carla Nieto of Rock Island, Michelle O’Malley of Milan, Damon Thompson of East Moline and Brandon Young of Rock Island. Advised by Dr. Brigette Dorrance.
Sigma Kappa Delta is the national English honor society for two-year colleges. The inductees come from both Black Hawk College campuses.
