The Annawan-Wethersfield Titans suffered their two losses of the season Saturday, falling 6-2 to Taylorville and 12-9 to Lincoln in a doubleheader at Taylorville.

Caleb McGill got the Titans’ only RBI in the Taylorville game, as they left six men on base during the game. Maddux Heitzler’s double was the Titans’ only extra-base hit of the game.

Koeyn DeClercq, Heitzler and Kellan Keane handled the pitching duties for A-W.

Against the Lincoln Railsplitters, the game was tied at 2 after two innings, and the Titans led by a run, 9-8, after four.

But that was the end of the scoring for Annawan-Wethersfield, as the Railsplitters plated two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings.

Nic Thurston drove in four runs for the Titans, and Zeb Rashid, McGill, Brody Childs and Dillon Horrie also had RBIs.

The Titans are now 7-0-2 on the season.
