
Kewaneeans voted for Donald Trump over Kamala Harris in Tuesday’s election.
So did Henry County as a whole. The county also favored Republican Joe McGraw in the 17th District Congressman race that was won by incumbent Democrat Eric Sorensen.
According to the Henry County Clerk’s office, voter turnout Tuesday was 25,295, which was 70 percent of the county’s 35,918 voters.
Trump carried Henry County, 15,341 votes to 9,199 for Harris.
In Kewanee and Wethersfield townships, 5,104 voters cast ballots in the presidential election. In only two precincts, Kewanee Precincts 4 and 8, were more votes cast for Harris than for Trump.

McGraw received 5,024 votes in Henry County, to 4,406 for Sorensen.
All the three advisory questions on the ballot passed in Henry County.
The question on civil penalties for candidates who interfere with election workers passed 87 percent to 12 percent.
Voters favored the three percent tax on incomes over $1 million was approved 54-45 percent, and requiring insurance companies to cover reproductive treatments passed 61-38 percent.
