Witte, DeMay chosen as Kewanee Elks ‘Teens of the Month’

The Kewanee Elks #724 recently announced that students Aleigha Witte and Ethan DeMay have been selected as “Teens of the Month” for November.

Aleigha is the daughter of Curt and Tina Witte. A senior at Annawan High School, Aleigha’s GPA is in the top 10%- 3.64/4.0. Her four-year achievements include High Honor Roll, volleyball and FFA. Her three-year achievements are in National Honor Society, FFA Land Use and basketball. She has two-year achievements in all-conference academics in basketball and volleyball, student council treasurer, FFA National Conference attendance, student council, trap shooting and livestock judging. Her one-year achievements are in the 5.0 Club, the Volleyball Bravette Award, Varsity Basketball Super Bolt Award, yearbook staff, FAC Greenhand Degree, Chapter FFA and horticulture.

Community service for Aleigha includes volunteer work at FFA events, basketball camps, volleyball camps, reading night, carnival tractor pulls, Memorial Day flags and freshman orientation.

Ethan is the son of Terry and Tracy DeMay. A senior at Annawan High School, his class rank is 1 of 22 with a GPA of 4.106/4.0 scale. Four-year achievements are High Honor Roll, FCA, FFA and student council. Three-year achievements for Ethan are National Honor Society, class president, 4.0 Club, Scholastic Team and baseball. His two-year achievement is in the National Honor Society with one-year achievements as student council president. FFA treasurer,

Ethan’s community service activities include volunteering at Anderson Consignment Sale.
