At the recent AW Titans Playoff game, there was more than the game that would catch your eye.

Wethersfield’s National Honor Society chapter held multiple Initiative projects at the game.

Members Devon Horrie and Parker Miskinis put together a Geese and Titan gear sale. They collected many donations of Geese or Titan apparel from local families. Then with the help of volunteers, they sold the gear while the players were on the field. The sale was successful.

Key Club members Abigail Cabada and Wavelynn Peart raised funds with a bake sale.

Other members, Abigail Cabada and Wavelynn Peart, sold a wide variety of baked goods. The bake sale was well-attended.

Tricia Lay, Wethersfield’s NHS Advisor, said, “We are very thankful for all the community support we have received through the students’ projects.”

Tinsley Newman’s raffle is currently on a roll. Raffle tickets are $1 each, six for $5 and 15 for $10.

The grand prize of the raffle is Tinsley’s personally crafted charcuterie board with a $30 gift card to purchase the charcuterie food of your choice.

But that’s not the end of the fundraisers. Jeremy Trill, Wethersfield’s woodworking teacher, and his woodworking students donated seven unique cutting boards. Tickets are available on Facebook.

Ava Landwehr and Noah Feltner will be at Save-A-Lot accepting donations for the food pantry on Nov. 22 from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. They will help customers bag their Thanksgiving groceries and even carry them to their car.
