Stuffed animals feeling under the weather or even the healthy ones, along with their owners, are welcome to attend the Teddy Bear Hospital, returning to Black Hawk College East Campus this month.
BHC is partnering with the Kewanee Animal Shelter to present the Teddy Bear Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Participants are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal to the East Campus Veterinary Sciences Center and explore careers in the veterinary industry.
Checkups for bears will include weigh-in, X-rays, bandaging, heart rate, pharmacy and surgery.
All children are welcome, but the event is recommended for ages are 3-8.
The event is free to attend. Donations to the animal shelter will be appreciated.
Suggested items include:

● Baking soda
● Bleach
● Pill pockets
● Laundry detergent
● Garbage bags
● Paper towels
● Dog treats
● Canned dog food
● Sticky notes
● Index cards
● Help with vet bills
