The local high school and junior high sports scene continues to be impacted by the weather. Here is a listing of games that will be played tonight and others that have been rescheduled or cancelled.
High School
The Kewanee boys basketball game against Sterling Newman will be played tonight at Kewanee High School. Newman is only bringing its varsity team, and game time will be 5:30 p.m.
The Kewanee bowling meet tonight against St. Bede (at Peru) has been cancelled.
The Wethersfield boys basketball game tonight against Mercer County (at Aledo) has been rescheduled for Jan. 26. The JV game will begin at 5:30 and the varsity game will follow at 7:30.
The Galva boys basketball game tonight against Abingdon-Avon will be played at Abingdon at 6 pm.
Annawan’s boys basketball game at Knoxville will tip off at 7:30 tonight.
Junior High
Tonight’s Central Junior High boys basketball against Orion has been cancelled.
Tonight’s Central Junior High volleyball match against Orion has been cancelled, but will be rescheduled at a later date.
Galva Junior High School will be hosting the junior high boys basketball LTC tournament. Play begins at 4 pm.
The Galva Junior High volleyball team will travel to Princeville tonight for a 5:30 pm start time.
