Kewanee High School senior James “JJ” Roginski recently signed a letter of intent to continue his education and soccer career at Elgin Community College.
The ECC Spartans compete in regional and national tournaments in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Illinois Skyway Conference.
Roginski will be looking to help solidify the Spartans’ defense and contribute to the team’s offense.
Roginski played an integral role on the 2023 Kewanee soccer team that finished 12-8-2, which (in terms of wins) is the program’s most successful season to date.
He led the team in assists with 20, had 13 goals and scored 46 points and earned First Team All-TRAC honors.
