
The Wethersfield volleyball team picked up a road win Wednesday night against LTC foe Stark County, winning 25-11 and 25-10. Wethersfield’s win streak grows to seven straight matches.
Libero Cora Hodge led the team in digs with nine and Kennady Anderson followed with five. Kendall Vincent and Marlie Lindstrom each had four and Camryn Anderson added one.
K. Anderson and Vincent recorded six and five kills. Sophie Nimrick and Emersyn Nelson added two apiece. Raqi Young and C. Anderson had one each.
Young, the team’s primary setter, led the Lady Geese in assists with 16. Abigail Cabada added two and Hodge one.
Leaders at the serving line were the sisters Anderson (Kennady and Camryn). They each served up three aces. Hodge and Lindstrom had two apiece. Serving one each were Young and Vincent.
Jillian Taylor and Nimrick had one block each.
Wethersfield notched another triple dipper. The sophomores won 25-17, 25-13 and the freshman team defeated the young Lady Rebels 25-10, 25-17.
The Lady Geese are now 12-2 and 5-0 in LTC play. They sit atop the conference standings with Annawan (15-3/4-0) and Monmouth/United (10-3/4-0).
Wethersfield travels to Abingdon/Avon Saturay (5 p.m.) and will host Monmouth United Monday for a big conference showdown at 7 p.m.
