
The Wethersfield Lady Geese connected on 11 three-point bombs Monday night enroute to beating the ROWVA-Williamsfield Cougars, 79-31.
Seven of the long-range jumpers were in the first quarter and four of them were compliments of senior forward Paige Huffman. There were a total of eight Wethersfield treys in the first half. Huffman hit her fifth one in the second quarter.

The other first quarter threes were by Lana Scott, Kennady Anderson and Cora Hodge. After the barrage, the Lady Geese held a commanding 27-8 first quarter lead.
Wethersfield outscored R-W 20-9 in the second quarter and extended their lead, 47-17, at the break. Kennady Anderson scored 10 first half points. Lajaya Angel and Kendall Vincent each had six second quarter points.
The Lady Geese kept the pressure on in the third quarter with a 17-9 effort. Angel added six more points and Vincent had five more (one triple) to her total and Emersyn Nelson scored four points in support.
Leading 64-26 after three quarters of play, the WHS starters were able to get some rest. Hodge and Elle Eastman added two more treys to the Wethersfield 3-point tally.
Camryn Anderson scored four in the frame and six on the night, while Scott contributed five in the win. Emilia Escareno was 3-3 at the line.
The Lady Geese had four players in double digits. Huffman had a game-high 15 points, Angel had 14, Kennady Anderson scored 12 and Vincent had 11 on the night.
Wethersfield moves to 8-2 and 3-1 in LTC play, while the Cougars slip to 3-9 and 0-4.

The Lady Geese beat ROWVA-Williamsfield 38-28 in the prelim game, advancing to 8-1 on the season. Emilia Escareno topped all scorers with 18 points. Lana Scott had eight, Ashley Oliver and Maci Hauser each scored five and Camryn Nelson added four.
