
The public is invited to the “Lights, Camera, Music!” concert featuring the Kewanee High School Symphonic Band on Sunday, March 1. This group of young musicians will offer up an afternoon of music featuring popular hits from the big screen.
Under the direction of KHS Band Directors Alex Binek and Brittany Krohn, the band will perform a variety of selections including “A Million Dreams”, “This Is Me”, “Always Remember Us This Way”, “Barbie Dreams”, “Waterfall Fight” and many more cinematic hits.
The concert will be held in the Petersen Auditorium on Sunday. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m., and the performance will begin promptly at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door on the day of the event. Refreshments will be served following the concert.
Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support for the talented student musicians, the Kewanee Schools Foundation and the KCUSD 229 Music Department. All proceeds will benefit the district’s music programs.
