The Boilermaker soccer team hosted Peoria Manual Wednesday and won by a score of 1-0.

Kewanee had multiple scoring opportunities in the first half with seven shots but only found the back of the net once on a goal from Sophomore Mikey Bermudez.

The Boilers took a 1-0 lead into halftime and failed to extend the lead in the second half, only managing to get two shots. Luckily, the Boiler defense kept Manual off the scoreboard to hold out for the win.

The Boilers will face off against Oregon at home on Saturday morning, with kickoff at 10 a.m. with a JV match to follow.
