
Chase Palm, Natalee Martin and Jason Rusk were the top finishers for Kewanee High School at the Kewanee Cross Country Invite at Baker Park Saturday.
Palm finished 12th in the varsity boys’ three-mile race in 19:39.82. Martin was 17th in the girls varsity race with a time of 23:13.08. And Rusk’s time of 19:57.74 was good for fifth place in the frosh-soph run.
Other KHS finishers were:
Mitchal Thorp was 36th in the boys varsity race. Other area runners in that race were Ian Pacheco of Galva, 15th; Bryant Jeffrey of Galva, 25th; and Ethan Grinnell of Stark County, 43rd.
Stark County’s Dusti Smith won the girls three-mile in a time of 19:34.75. Other area finishers in that race were Cheyenh Smith and Alexis Martinez of Stark County, 13th and 14th; Keagan Hamilton of Stark County, 22nd; Nolie Charlet, Kewanee, 25th; Haylie Moodie and Nina Longabaugh of Stark County, 39th and 40th. Hunter Vancil of Kewanee ran 20th in the frosh-soph race.
