The Kewanee frosh-soph girls basketball team split their first two games of the Geneseo Sophomore Invite.
In the Tuesday night opener, the Boiler Girls lost to host Geneseo, 39-33. In Wednesday night action, Kewanee beat Annawan, 43-28.
In the win over Annawan, Kewanee freshman Audrey Clucas led all scorers with 13 points and fellow freshman Remy Hicks added nine. Scoring six each were freshmen, Annie Campbell and Lillie Hampton. Freshman Kieryn Abernathy added five and sophomores, Ra’Kiya Amos and London Currie scored two each.
Freshman Tyra Church led Annawan with 12 points and sophomore Aleigha Witte added seven points.
Kewanee will resume tourney play at Geneseo on Saturday. Time and opponent to be determined.
