On Saturday, the Kewanee Boilers ran in Elmwood bright and early in the morning.
The Cross-Country girls held their own in the meet. Sophomore Nolie Charlet was Kewanee’s top finisher at 50th place with a time of 21:24.50.
The rest of the girls ran as follows: senior Alejandra Martinez finished 89th with a time of 23:20.20, junior Esmeralda Martinez placed 113th at 24:30.90, and sophomore Tiffany Helton ended in 181st with a 30:53.20.

As for the boys, the F/S team ran the 2.55 mile and finished in 32nd and 49th place. Freshman Jordan Husley had a time of 17:58.30, and freshman Jermain McKnight ran a time of 19:57.60. In the varsity boys race, junior Jason Rusk finished the 3-mile race in 80th place with a time of 18:22.80, and senior Mitchal Thorp came in 184th with a time of 22:10.20.
Kewanee Cross-Country will be traveling to Erie Tuesday.
