The Kewanee High School band is a century old and to mark the occasion, the Kewanee Schools Foundation will hold a celebratory event.
The evening, set for May 11 at the KHS Petersen Auditorium, will begin at 7 p.m. with a concert by the KHS Symphonic Band, directed by Alex Binek and Brittany Krohn. The concert will also feature the Alumni and Friends All Star Wind Ensemble.
A 50/50 drawing and silent auction will also be held with benefits going to a new KHS Marching Band PA system.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and admission is just $5. After the concert, attendees are invited for refreshments in the Golby Student Center.
