During busy times, it is great to be able to have a quick dinner recipe in your back pocket. That’s what I needed this week, and it reminded me of something I used to make for my co-workers at our office. It was always a hit, and I appreciated how simple it was to throw together, even on a tight schedule.

Enter: Sweet & Savory Meatballs — a classic “semi-homemade” recipe that would fit right in on that old TV show by the same name.

With just three ingredients and minimal prep, it’s a set-it-and-forget-it type of meal that delivers big flavor with very little effort.

The ingredients couldn’t be easier to find. On my grocery run this week, I grabbed a bag of frozen homestyle meatballs, a small jar of grape jelly, and a bottle of chili sauce. That’s it! I also picked up some fresh green beans and used rice I already had at home to round out the meal. The result was a dinner that was not only satisfying but also very well received by everyone at the table.

The beauty of this recipe is in the sweet and tangy sauce. The grape jelly brings a rich, fruity sweetness, while the chili sauce adds just the right amount of spice and depth.

Together, they create a glaze that coats the meatballs perfectly — sticky, flavorful and totally crave-worthy. And while the frozen meatballs are a convenient shortcut (and surprisingly delicious!), this sauce would be just as tasty over homemade meatballs if you prefer to go that route.

This dish works equally well for a family dinner, a game day appetizer or even a potluck offering. It’s quick to assemble, easy to scale up and guaranteed to disappear fast.

If you’re in need of a fast, no-fuss meal that doesn’t skimp on flavor, give these Sweet & Savory Meatballs a try.

From our kitchen to yours — enjoy!
