Most people have a favorite candy bar. In our house, that favorite is almost unanimously a Twix. The combination of crisp cookie, gooey caramel and smooth milk chocolate makes it hard to resist. So, when I came across a handwritten recipe titled “Twix Bars” tucked inside my grandma’s recipe box, I knew it was one I had to try.
I made a pan of these Copycat Twix Bars last week, and I honestly can’t remember anything that has disappeared faster in our kitchen. My youngest son even declared that he would choose one of these bars over a store-bought Twix any day. That’s saying something.

The recipe mimics the classic candy bar layers. A base of Club crackers creates that light, crisp cookie foundation. The crackers are topped with a buttery graham cracker caramel mixture and baked into place. The caramel layer is rich and sweet and binds everything together. The chocolate sets into a glossy layer and the peanut butter adds a subtle nutty depth that complements the caramel beautifully.

These bars are perfect to share with your favorite people. From our kitchen to yours — enjoy!
