We are very close to Christmas now, and there is just enough time to try one of my favorite holiday recipes: Christmas Crinkle Cookies.

These colorful, soft and chewy treats have become a Christmas tradition in our home, and they always make an appearance in the holiday cookie tins I give to family and friends. They are my husband’s absolute favorite out of all the holiday treats, so they typically disappear quickly at our house.

What I really love about these cookies is how simple they are to make. The base is a white cake mix, which makes it very easy to whip up a batch without any complicated steps. The best part is how fun and festive they look. I always double the recipe and make one batch red and one batch green by adding food coloring.

The bright colors give the cookies a cheerful holiday vibe, and when they bake, the powdered sugar coating cracks to reveal the vibrant color inside.

These cookies are light, flavorful, and so addictive. The delicate sweetness pairs perfectly with the slight crispiness from the powdered sugar coating. They are a great treat to share with others, whether you’re bringing them to a family gathering or leaving a plate out for Santa.

From my kitchen to yours — enjoy!
