On March 10, Kewanee CUSD #229 Superintendent Rebecca Baney was presented with a donation from Matt Costenson, chairman of the Athletic Hall of Fame.
The Athletic Hall of Fame donation was made possible through memorial contributions made in honor of John Blachinsky, whose legacy continues to support the Boilermakers. These funds will be used towards the enhancement of “Boilermaker Ave,” the primary corridor connecting the Brockman Gym and the Golby Student Center.
During the presentation, Supt. Baney shared a preview of the custom wall wrap designed for the space. The superintendent has worked closely with the designer to finalize a vision that celebrates Kewanee High School’s rich history, education, athletic heritage and school pride.
