Taylor VanWinkle and Parker Miskinis are the Kewanee Elks #724 February “Teens of the Month.”
Taylor is the daughter of Jim and Kelly VanWinkle A senior at Kewanee High School, her class rank is 1/139 with a GPA of 4.0/4.0 scale.
Four-year achievements for Taylor include high honor roll, Key Club, volleyball and FCA. She has two-year achievements in National Honor Society, all-conference academic volleyball, class vice-president, volleyball co-captain and basketball. One-year achievements are class president, student council vice-president, Key Club president, secretary, treasurer, board member, basketball co-captain, volleyball all-conference honorable mention, Spirit Award, Illinois House of Representatives Leadership, Key Club-distinguished treasurer and treasurer.
Her community service includes volunteering at Key Club events.
Parker is the son of Josh and Carrie Miskinis. A senior at Wethersfield High School, his GPA is 4.72/5.0 scale with a class rank of 11/38.
He has four-year achievements in high honor roll, all-conference, academic football, pep band, Key Club, FFA, FCA and student council.
His three-year achievements include all-conference academic basketball and track, band, marching band and concert band. He has two-year achievements in National Honor Society, class president, football co-captain and school plays. He has a one-year achievement on the scholastic team.
His community service includes volunteering to help neighbors clean after a storm, FFA NHS and student council projects and helping a friend obtain Eagle Scout.
