

Katlyn Carton and Jack Anderson have been chosen as the September picks for the Kewanee Elks #724 “Teens of the Month.”
Katlyn is the daughter of Randy and Karyn Carton. A senior at Kewanee High School, Katlyn has a 4.0 GPA with a class rank of 1 of 139.
Her four-year achievements include High Honor Roll, volleyball, cheerleading, Key Club and FFA. Her two-year achievements are All-Conference Academics in volleyball and cheerleading, National Honor Society, co-captain in cheerleading, band, marching band, concert band, pep band and All-American Cheerleader.
One-year achievements are All-Conference Academic track, FFA historian, FFA secretary, FFA president, Key Club class officer, track, Boilermaker Spirit Award, Band Music Sweepstakes, Student Council, Greenhand Degree, FFA Chapter Degree, FFA representative to DC and the Travis Weaver Leadership Award.
Katlyn also has seven Division 1 solo and ensemble awards.
Her community service includes volunteering for Key Club, FFA KHS events, Sols Legacy Ministry and St. Jude.
Jack is the son of Greg and Katie Anderson. A senior at Kewanee High School, his class rank is 4 out of 139 with a GPA of 3.97.
His four-year achievements include High Honor Roll, golf, band, jazz band, concert band, pep band and Key Club. He has two-year achievements in National Honor Society, All-Conference Academic golf, co-captain for golf, marching band and FFA. His one-year achievements include class president, FFA leadership, FFA co-chair, Building Communities, basketball, wrestling and student council.
His community service includes volunteering at Galva Historical Society, Praise Team at his church, Community Choir, Kiwanis Service Projects and FFA service projects.
