
The Annawan Bravettes played in the Mendota Tournament Saturday and went 3-2 en route to a third-place finish.
In pool play, the Bravettes defeated Streator 25-21, 25-17 and Mendota 25-13, 25-14. Their two losses in pool play were to Ottawa 18-25, 13-25 and Rockford Christian 21-25, 18-25. In the third-place match, Annawan defeated Forreston 25-15, 27-25.
The varsity team is now 23-6 overall.
The Bravettes wrap up their regular season this week with two home games. Monday night they’ll play Abingdon-Avon in their final conference match of the season. The JV game starts at 6 p.m.
Tuesday night the seniors will play a non-conference foe, Brimfield, in their final home game. The JV game starts at 6 p.m.
