
The Bravettes got their third conference win of the season Tuesday, beating Ridgewood 66-42. Annawan racked up 44 first half points (44-21) and had four players in double digit scoring in the road win.
Clara Bella VanOpdorp scored 10 first quarter points to help propel the Bravettes to a 23-12 lead. Zoey Vance had eight in the second quarter and VanOpdorp sank two 3-pointers as Annawan outscored the Spartans 21-9 in the second frame.
VanOpdorp scored 16 first half points, Vance had 12 and Olivia Goodley added nine.
The second half scoring was nearly even. Annawan edged out Ridgewood 22-21, but the bulk of the damage by the Bravettes had been done.
Bravettes senior Kaylee Celus scored eight points in the second half. Ciara Clark made three treys in the second half for the Spartans.
VanOpdorp led all scorers with 21 points, Vance had 14 and Celus and Goodley each scored a dozen.
Annawan moves to 11-3 on the season and 3-1 in LTC play, while Ridgewood evened its record to 7-7 and 1-3 in the conference.
