BHC announces 2024 high school weld invitational winners

Black Hawk College recently hosted the 6th Annual T-Joint Fillet Weld Invitational at the college’s Welding and Skilled Trades Center in downtown Kewanee.

The goal was to provide a competitive welding contest in a state-of-the-art welding facility that gives high school students an opportunity to test their skills. A total of 49 students from seven high schools registered for the competition.

Mercer County High School, Team 1
Knoxville High School

Jason Dailey – Kewanee High School, Team 1
Bodie Salmon – Mercer County, Team 2
Dalton Hutchinson – Knoxville
Noah Daily – Knoxville

Also participating were students from Rockridge High School and ROWVA High School. Kewanee High School student, Jason Dailey, was among the top 10 individuals.
