Just a few more days are left to register your young athlete for the Kewanee Park District’s summer baseball/softball session.
Parks Director Andrew Dwyer said it’s the final stretch and numbers are down. He hopes a friendly reminder will see an uptick of registrations as the park district campaigns to get players registered.
“Our numbers are about 100 down from last year’s final count,” Dwyer said. “Each year, we have a flurry the last few days. Reaching everyone is always difficult with how busy families are nowadays.”
The deadline for baseball/softball registration is Wednesday, May 14. Those interested in registering can go online to kewaneeparkdistrict.org or phone 309-852-2872.
