Three area boys’ track teams (Annawan/Wethersfield, Kewanee and Stark County) participated in the 16th Annual Silver Streak Last Chance Indoor Meet Saturday at Monmouth College.
Over 27 boys’ teams competed in the prestigious meet that includes many of the best area teams, ranging from Class 1A to 3A. There was a tie for first place honors between East Moline (United) and Galesburg, with each team scoring 80.5 points.
Kewanee was ninth with 11 points and Annawan/Wethersfield finished in 22nd place with 6.5 points. No points total for Stark County was given.
Area boys that had Top 5 finishes were:
Karson Shrum (3rd place – 3200m, A/W); Anthony Padilla (4th place – 60m hurdles, Kewanee); Dontaveon Thomas (5th place – triple jump, Kewanee).
