Another conference win for Lady Geese

The Wethersfield Lady Geese racked up another conference win Wednesday night, defeating (Biggsville) West Central 25-15, 25-23. 

WHS is now 17-2-1 and 8-0 atop the LTC. West Central is now 10-10 and 3-3 in the conference. 

The Wethersfield freshman and sophomore squads also won, completing the clean sweep. The freshman team won 25-18, 25-9 and the sophomores won 25-16, 25-16.

The win extends the WHS varsity win streak to 11 matches (the team’s only blemish in that streak, a tie/split with Illini Bluffs in the Knoxville Tournament).

In other area LTC volleyball action, Annawan beat ROWVA-Williamsfield 25-10, 25-9. The Bravettes are 17-3 overall and 6-0 in conference play. R/W falls to 12-8 and 7-5 in the LTC. 

A match between LTC heavyweights, Annawan and Monmouth United, looms large Oct. 3. United is 10-4 and 4-1 in the LTC. The Bravettes are also riding an 11-game win streak.
