A 19-year-old female was taken to OSF Saint Luke Medical Center after her vehicle left the roadway and went into a ditch, according to information released by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
The single-car accident occurred Monday around 3 p.m. just north of Kewanee on Highway 78. According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle veered off the roadway although the cause of the accident wasn’t released. Both lanes of the highway were closed to traffic while the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Responding to the accident were both the HCSO and the Kewanee Fire Department.
