Kewanee police blotter for Oct. 24

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West South Street.

Chelsea J. Ainley, 23, Kewanee, was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Mill Street. She was given a notice to appear.

A written warning was issued following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Tenney Street.

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Main Street.

A vehicle driven by Harold E. Henshaw, 59, Oquawka, struck a utility pole following a report of a hit and run accident in the 100 block of South Elm Street. No injuries were reported. Henshaw was cited for improper backing. He was given a notice to appear.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance, neighborhood trouble in the 900 block of North East Street.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, disturbing another’s peace in the 200 block of Blish Avenue.

A written warning was issued following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Tenney Street.

Jerrill D. Halmon, 47, Decatur, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with license suspended, and a Stark County Warrant for failure to appear for traffic offense following a report of domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Community Square. He posted bond.

An animal was impounded in the 200 block of Community Square.

John T. Helms, 19, Galveston, Ind., was arrested for DUI A1, DUI A2, and disobeying a traffic control device following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Division Street. He was given notices to appear. Reece J. Thoreson, 19, Knoxville, Iowa, Carter D. Hoge, Good Hope, Ill., Preston T. Rhode, 19, Carlock, Ill., all cited for illegal transportation of alcohol. They were given notices to appear.
