The Kewanee Boilermakers improved to 7-1 on the season Friday with a 34-8 home win over Sterling Newman.
It was the second win in a row over the Comets for Kewanee. Before last year, the Boilers had lost nine straight to Newman.
Kewanee led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter and 27-0 at the half. The score was 27-8 at the end of three quarters and the Boilers added a fourth-quarter touchdown to make the final score 34-8.
Kewanee will be at home next Friday against Aurora Central Catholic.
