Spring sports are in full swing this weekend with many events scheduled. Check out the times and places for Kewanee Community Schools games and meets or go online to your favorite area school and see their roster.
Saturday offers up a wide variety of entertainment opportunities. The Wethersfield Music Boosters will host a spaghetti dinner and open mic night in the school cafeteria from 4 to 7 p.m. The evening promises a great dinner and a good time.
Not in the mood for Italian? Then join the First Christian Church at their free community Easter dinner at 105 Dwight St. This dinner is free and open to the public and takes place 5:30-7:30 p.m. They are also offering free transportation to and from the event. Call 309-525-4178.
For those looking for a little more excitement – Saturday evening the Kiwanis Club will be holding their “Night at the Races” at the Elks Club in Kewanee. This is a derby-themed event with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the first race starting an hour later at 7:30 p.m.
