Police responded to a smoke report in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. It was determined to be a wood-burning stove.
March 26:
Police met with a resident at the Galva Police Department to give them a freedom of information form.
Police assisted a citizen at the Galva Police Department to reschedule a court date for a traffic offense.
Police assisted the ambulance with an unresponsive patient in the 00 block of SW 4th Avenue.
Police responded to a complaint of criminal damage to property in the 300 block of NW 4th Avenue.
Police responded to a request to remove an unwanted subject in the 500 block of SW 3rd Avenue.

Rochelle Owens, 34, Chicago, was arrested for a Wisconsin probation violation warrant following a welfare check on a suicidal subject in the 00 block of NE 1st Avenue. She was taken to the Henry County Jail.
Police responded to a loud vehicle complaint in the 400 block of NW 1st Street.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. A subject was given a written banning letter and removed from the property.
Police responded to a request for assistance with a juvenile having homicidal thoughts and refusing to return home at a residence on SW 4th Street. The subject was transported to the
Galva Police Department to meet a crisis worker and then transported by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.
March 27:
Police met with a subject at the Galva Police Department to pick up property left behind by a juvenile the previous night.
Police responded to a request by an elderly citizen for help with an electronic device that was not working in the 00 block of NE 5th Avenue.
Brandi York, 29, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle displaying expired Illinois registration in the 600 Block of South Center Avenue. She was released with a court date.
Police responded to a complaint of a banned subject who forced entry into an apartment in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. This incident remains under investigation.
Police assisted Illinois DCFS in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
March 28:
Police responded to several 9-1-1 hang-up complaints in the block of NW 4th Avenue. It was determined to be a call about a carbon monoxide detector going off. The fire department was contacted to investigate.
Police responded to a request for a welfare check in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. The juvenile was located and returned home to a custodial parent.
March 29:
Zachary Komorowski, 24, Green Bay, WI, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for soliciting without a permit in the 500 and 600 block of NW 5th Street.
Police responded to a civil property dispute in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
Police spoke to a parent and warned them to keep their young children further away from the roadway after observing them playing close to it in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.
March 30:
Police responded to a complaint involving a neighbor’s dog that attacked their dog in the 200 block of NW 1st Avenue. The victim dog was transported to an emergency veterinary clinic and the other dog owner agreed to pay any fees that were incurred.
Police assisted with locating a missing 6-year-old child in the 600 block of NW 1st Street. The child was found inside a parked car at a neighbor’s house.

Scott Apodaca, 60, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Avenue.
March 31:
Police responded to a reckless driving complaint in the 300 block of County Highway 5. A subject was reportedly “mudding in the ditch.” A report was written and forwarded to the State’s Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 400 block of SE 5th Street. The officer was not able to locate the animal.
Shauna Gallardo, 54, Atkinson, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.
