Christmas festivities are right around the corner at Wethersfield High School. The school will be hosting its third annual Holly Jolly Christmas Festival Sunday, Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 pm at Wethersfield High School.
Members of Wethersfield’s junior high and high school student councils, art club and FFA have come together to help create a grand event.
The high school student council decorated trees and wrapped presents. The art club is contributing amazing photo opportunities through hand painted pictures.
There will also be a mailbox to drop off letters for Santa Claus. The FFA carefully crafted other amazing props and the junior high student council made reindeer food for kids to take home.

There will also be music, snacks, crafts and face painting available. Santa will be bringing live reindeer for the kids to see. Fun games like pin-the-tail and an obstacle course also will be run by members of the student council. The FFA will be offering rides on a custom-built train.

When asked about the event, WHS student council advisor Tricia Lay stated, “I feel like it’s very important for students to understand the importance of being a part of the community that they live in and serving that community.”
Don’t miss out on this winter wonderland event. Santa and his reindeer will be waiting for you!
