WHS National Honor Society inducts new members

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, the Wethersfield Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted six new members. 

Each individual was carefully selected based on their qualities reflecting the four pillars of the National Honor Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character. 

The six new members are Katelyn Carman, Collin Hodge, Tinsley Newman, Ashley Oliver, Lana Scott and Madalyn Verscha.

Meanwhile, the Wethersfield Chapter has also been making great progress in its individual initiative projects. The Wethersfield NHS Initiative projects are to raise funds for the local Kewanee Food Pantry. 

BreAnna Peed is running an online book drive for the community on Facebook this week. Each book will range from one to five dollars. 

She has a wide variety of books, from picture books up to young adult books and autobiographies. 

Noah Feltner and Ava Landwehr will be at Save-A-Lot on Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., bagging groceries and assisting customers to their cars in exchange for donations.
