Wethersfield senior Camryn Anderson had an opportunity to play in an honorary senior all-star game.
Anderson has played varsity basketball for all four years of high school and has been a big part of the Lady Geese basketball program.
This all-star game included many other talented players from other schools and was a tough match-up.
“Playing in the all-star game was a nice end to my high school career,” Anderson said. “I enjoyed meeting new people from other teams.
“Before the game started, every player was paired up to make a two-man team consisting of a boy and a girl that competed in a hot shots contest. At halftime, they announced the top four finalist pairs to compete in a finals round. My two-man team was the champions.
“Then the second half was back and forth, and my team (North Team) won by one point. It was a great experience,” said Anderson.

Anderson was known to encourage teammates in practice and in games throughout her high school career.
This year, the Lady Geese were ultimately defeated by one point in the Elite Eight of the state girls’ basketball tournament. The team that beat them went on to win the state title.
“Camryn was one of the most dedicated teammates I have ever had,” said teammate Lana Scott. “She would give it her all every game and is all around definitely one of the best teammates I’ve ever had.”
