The Wethersfield girls volleyball team placed second among eight teams in the Wethersfield Invitational Tournament Saturday.
After beating Greenview, Peoria Manual and Monmouth-Roseville to advance to the title game, the Lady Geese fell in the championship match to Knoxville.

Knoxville beat Wethersfield 21-17, 17-21, 15-9 to win the tournament. Mercer County defeated Greenview for third; Princeville won over Monmouth-Roseville for fifth, and Havana downed Peoria Manual for seventh.
