Three boys from Wethersfield will be taking part in the All-State Junior High Classic.

This event is an invite-only game for junior high basketball players who have been nominated. From Wethersfield, Remington Crabtree, Grant Nelson and Jameer Angel have been chosen to participate.

This year, the game will take place on March 8 at Lincoln Junior High in Lincoln. The event has a total of 220 players who are placed on 20 teams. Leading up to the game, the boys have a day to practice with their teams.

The teams consist of other junior high players from around the state.

The Wethersfield boys’ coach, Paul Alepra, said, “All three boys worked hard during the season. Most of the time, one of the three was the top scorer in games.

“Jameer and Grant played on the outside, while Remington played inside for us.”

During the season, each boy displayed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork. They all expressed their excitement about the game and being nominated to go.

Jameer Angel said, “I’m excited to have this opportunity, and I hope that it will better me as a player.”

Grant Nelson said, “I am honored to spend time with boys who love the game as much as I do, and I’m honored to play amongst them.”

While Remington Crabtree said, “This is a great chance for me to become a better player, and I think being in a new environment will help me learn from others.”
