The weather, sunny and mild, hit all the right notes Saturday for the 58th annual Geneseo Music Festival. Sunday’s weather wasn’t as cooperative.
Attendees flocked to Geneseo City Park on Saturday for a day filled with fun, vendors, food trucks, booths and, of course, live music.
Assorted vendors, dozens of them, set up booths and offered freebies along with items for sale. Below, the Art League and Gallery offered participants a chance to paint in the park. An assortment of food trucks and booths offered festivalgoers a variety of food. The Geneseo FFA sold food at a booth and proceeds going to fund FFA activities.
Dozens of vendors participated in the weekend craft fair, offering both information and items for sale, along with free giveaways.
Dave’s Coffee Cake, a festival favorite, offered an assortment of flavors for people to choose from. The Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry set up a booth and offered various items for a free will donation. Hammond-Henry Hospital made an appearance at the annual music festival. Below, left, Abilities Plus of Kewanee was on hand passing out free items and information and, below right, the Richmond Players also made an appearance.
A bouncy house and other activities were available for kids, and attendees had plenty of food options — from corn dogs to kettle corn.
A bouncy house was a hit with the kids.
Up first at the park band shell was the Geneseo High School Jazz Band. Other musical performers scheduled throughout the weekend included the Dave Matthews Tribute Band, Jerm Theory and Bugz Benson.

On Saturday, the newly minted royal court made an appearance in the park. On Friday, the Little Miss Geneseo and Music Fest pageants were held, along with an ice cream social hosted by the Rotary Club.
