Virtual Parent Café offers connection, support for families

By The Kewanee Voice    April 29, 2026

Parenting can be rewarding, but it can also feel isolating—especially in a fast‑paced world where meaningful adult connection can be hard to find.

To help bridge that gap, Birth to Five Illinois will host a free virtual Parent Café on Thursday, April 30, from 4 -6 p.m., offering parents a chance to gather, share experiences and build community from the comfort of home.

Parent Cafés are designed as welcoming spaces where parents can reflect and talk openly about the joys and challenges of raising children. Guided by trained facilitators, the conversations encourage honesty and empathy in a judgment‑free environment where every voice matters.

Participants often leave feeling refreshed and supported, with new ideas they can bring back to their families. The cafés emphasize connection, resilience and shared understanding—qualities that help parents feel less alone and more confident in their daily lives.

Pre‑registration is required to receive the access link for the April 30 session. Those who attend can expect meaningful discussion and a sense of community that lasts well beyond the event. To register, click here.
