Excitement ran high on Jan. 27 when in a home game against Stark County, the Annawan Bravettes not only took the win, but team member, Clara Bella VanOpdorp, broke a 13-year school record previously held by Aron Jackson Bowan.
VanOpdorp broke Annawan’s All Time-3-point record by scoring 1500 points. That night VanOpdorp’s first 3-point shot of the season clinched the deal, making her the sixth all-time leading scorer for Annawan.
On Saturday, VanOpdorp moved up a notch to become the fifth All-Time leading scorer for the school getting 34 points against ROWVA with a Bravette win of 54-43.
VanOpdorp career totals are 1663 points and 200 career 3’s. She is leading 3’s for all-time and fifth in points.

Four of the girls played for Jason Burkiewicz until he retired after 13 years last year. VanOpdorp played one year for Coach Brian Beach. Kelly Buresh played for Coach Matt Huber.
