With the Kewanee High school baseball and softball seasons concluded, the Three Rivers Conference East Division has announced their 2023 Baseball and Softball All Conference team selections.
Colson Welgat of the Kewanee Boilermakers baseball team was selected to the All- Conference First team for his infield work throughout the 2023 baseball season. Catcher Andy Osborne and outfielder Cruz Parades also received honorable mentions for the conference.
Several athletes from the Kewanee Boiler girls’ softball team received recognition in the conference selection. Catcher Marissa Stevens and outfielder McKensey Stontz were voted onto the All- Conference First team for their outstanding performances throughout their 2023 season. Five other players were also recognized on the All- Conference Second Team: pitcher Kalleigh Gale, pitcher Makaela Salisbury, infielder Ava LaFollette, infielder Hope Peed, and outfielder Hannah Tiska.
The Kewanee Boilermaker baseball team finished conference play with a final standing of 2-10 and the Boiler girls’ softball team finished conference play with a final standing of 9-3.
