A community feast to raise money for a local cancer patient is planned in Cambridge for the day before Thanksgiving.
The dinner will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Spectrum Pub, 117 S. East St., Suite 1, in Cambridge.
The meal will feature turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn casserole and pumpkin pie.
The event is offered for a freewill donation, with all proceeds going to support Charles O’Deen.
O’Deen, a Cambridge resident and plumber, completed all the work at the Spectrum Pub. He is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy at the Mayo Clinic for a brain tumor.
In addition to the meal, The Spectrum Pub is organizing a raffle to further support the O’Deen family. Anyone wishing to donate raffle items or seeking more information about the event is encouraged to contact The Spectrum Pub at 309-937-2025 or thespectrumpub@gmail.com.
Donation jars have been placed throughout Cambridge for anyone who wishes to contribute.
