The Geneseo Historical Museum is organizing a guided tour, Stories in Stone Walking Tour, through Oakwood Cemetery. The tour will be led by Heidi Hamer.
The community is invited to participate in the walk and learn about the lives and legacies of the community’s earliest residents.
The tour will make a complete loop, beginning and ending at Muzzy Chapel.
Guests should expect different kinds of terrain and are encouraged to wear appropriate trekking shoes. Pets are not allowed in the cemetery.
Tours will take place Thursday, July 23 and Thursday, Aug. 27, from 5-7 p.m. Tours are expected to last approximately 90 minutes. Fill out the registration form on the historical museum website or call 309-944-3043 to reserve your spot today.
