Throughout Kewanee this weekend, members of the Kewanee Kiwanis Club along with volunteers will be out in the community collecting donations for Good Fellow’s Christmas Baskets. The food baskets are a local tradition that helps feed area families in need during the holiday season.
Each year, the Good Fellow’s Christmas Basket Club delivers more than 750 baskets filled with groceries to Kewanee households, reaching over 1,900 individuals. Every dollar donated goes directly toward purchasing food, ensuring 100% of your contribution supports local families.
Kewanee’s annual Good Fellows Tag Days is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19 and 20. Kiwanis members and volunteers can be found at these collection sites this weekend: Walmart, Sullivan Foods, Beck’s South, Save-A-Lot and Walgreens.
Donations can also be mailed to Good Fellows Christmas Basket Club, P.O. Box 5, Kewanee, IL, 61443.
